can listen to different speeds of music and get a
better idea of how many 8 counts you can use in any
given length of routine!
Beats per minute is very important. These speeds
can vary from team to team considering their abilities.
Please use the player below to listen to several speeds
that we use here. We suggest using the following BPM's
for your team:
Ages 5-8 120
BPM
Ages 8-12 120 to 130 BPM
Ages 12-18 135-145 BPM
Freshmen Cheer Squads 130-135
Junior Varsity 135-140
Varsity Squads 140-145
Colleges 140-145
The Routine Counter is a tool designed by Custom
Cheer Mix to give you a better understanding of how
many 8 counts you can use in your cheerleading routine.
Choose your routine time length in the "Length" column.
The numbers to the right indicate how many 8 counts
are possible in the 115 to 155 Beat Per Minute range.
*Please note, depending on your ending sound effect, these 8 count
numbers maybe decreased by an 8 count since most ending sound effects last 1-3 seconds. These are numbers of
"useable 8 counts" that we can use without going over your time limit.
