Whether you are a seasoned cheerleading coach, or a newbie to the cheerleading world... Custom Cheer Mix has created a cheer routine counter to help you out with your cheerleading routines! The Top Questions What are BPM'S BPMs (Beats per minute) are simply the speed/tempo of your music. Please keep in mind the age and/or skill level of your team. You want a mix that is appropriate for both. If it's too fast, the team will not keep up!! If it's too slow for your team, the routine will simply drag..... Keep your Team in mind!!! Regardless of the songs that you use, we can bring the speed of the music up (or down) to match the rest without affecting the pitch How many 8 counts can I use in my routine? To help everyone out, we have included a Routine Counter which will tell you how many 8 counts that you can use in any given time length and any given bpm (speed/tempo of the music). This will be found below. We encourage ALL Cheer Coaches to look at this before submitting any 8 count sheets. When you attempt to squash in a crazy amount of 8 counts for a particular time length and bpm, the tempo may end up to be faster, and at times, too fast! We have seen teams trying to put 34 8 counts into a 1:30 routine at 140 bpm! Believe it or not, it has happened! If you have no idea what that means, a 1:30 mix at 140 bpm can use 25 - 8 counts! If you submit 8 count sheets, please be sure that you have the correct amount of 8 counts for your routine with the given bpm/tempo of your music.
